Bye Bye Paslode!!!! Aug 03, 2011
By Pezwa So glad I decided to give this gun a go! I've been using Paslode finishers for a while now and needed a new one. This bostitch was cheaper, which made me have my doubts. They were quickly put to rest when the gun turned up. So light, well designed, small batteries, so much quieter than the paslodes. I thought maybe because the gun is physically smaller as well (only by a small amount) that it would lack the power to drive nails all day. Once again I was mistaken. Bostitch have a very good reputation over here in Australia which is why I got it and it has far exceeded anything I expected. The nails are easy to find also as they are a common size. Well done Bostitch, I'll be sticking with it from now on.
Great Finish Nailer Nov 29, 2011
By Paul Billingslea While this nailer will never replace my pneumatic nailers it has it's place. I find it extremely light given it's size, plenty of power and good reliability. I've used on exterior trim, flooring and some interior assembly and it has worked flawlessly. I haven't tried it with Paslode gas yet but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. In fact, the Bostitch gas cartridges come with instructions for using them in a Pasload gun.
The only real drawback is a standard problem for all Bostitch 15ga nailers, it uses FN nails rather then the more common DA used by most other nailers. I use both already so it's not a problem for me but be away if your a Senco user, these nails are different.
As with all Gas nailers, care and maintenance are paramount. This guns must be lubed regularly to operate properly. I haven't used it enough to warrant doing a full cleaning but I won't linger in doing it when it's due.
Perfect finish nailer! Oct 23, 2011
By MilkyB I recently bought this Bostitch nailer from Amazon after researching all other cordless finish nailers. I have nothing by praise for this nailer. It is unbelievably lightweight, quieter than most, and is easy to get into tight spaces. Charge time is extremely fast. You can fire nails as rapidly as you would ever need to. I installed trim and casing for about three hours with it today, and it performed flawlessly. It is very powerful, yet conducive to delicate trim work as well. The non-marring rubber doesn't damage trim like most other nailers do. The only mark you see is where the nail goes it, that's it. It also doesn't recoil at all, unlike most others. The utility hook is a very welcome convenience. It's also very quick and easy to adjust nail depth (which is is perfectly consistent). It was clearly designed with the user in mind. I feel like I could use it all day without fatigue.

The Gun that Shot Itself Oct 16, 2011
By angelo I bought this Bostitch GFN1564K nailer and used it 3 times. Each time I used it, it would jam. On the third occasion, it fired a nail through the plastic magazine nail holder. I am very disappointed because I have a Bostitch framing nailer that works great. I was really looking forward to using this gun on the job because it was light weight, but returned it to Amazon because from what I can see, the magazine appears to be defective. It seems like the magazine is too deep so it allows the second nail strip to go underneath the first one, when the first nail strip is near the end, causing them to twist and dangerously firing nails out of the plastic side of the gun.
Here is a PDF of photos of what happened to my nailer: [...]
I contacted Bostitch support and they sent me what sounded like an automated response, to return the gun to my nearest dealer. I was a little disappointed, hoping I would hear from someone interested in the flaws of this nailer instead. I bought a Senco Fusion F-15 Fusion nailer and will be giving it a try.
