If you are nailing metal connectors, use the right nails Nov 13, 2009
By J. Hertig

Metal connectors are quite useful when doing framing. Pounding in all the nails is a pain. So using a pnuematic nailer is really helpful.
If your nailer will do this, then you'd be hard pressed to find better nails than these. They are specially hardened, so that if you miss the hole a bit, they will still go through. And they are available in thicker sizes than regular nails of this length (which is perfect for nailing a bracket to a 2" board without protruding from the back). They are heavily galvanized, so you would be hard pressed to find anything more rust resistant. Really, they have no down side.
Works well with the different metal connetors I have tried May 18, 2011
By Alan Laidlaw The long strings of nails have to be bent a little to get then into the nail gun but work well will the connectors.
nails are fine Dec 14, 2010
By BJV These are fine, sturdy nails for attaching metal connector plates. The only minor irritation is the plastic connector sometimes inhibits the group of nails sliding toward the nail gun head. A gentle bump against the spring easily bumps the nail into the proper position to be fastened.
Great for metal connector installation Jul 28, 2009
By William When used with a nail gun like the Bostitch F21PL, these nails make metal connector installation a breeze. If you have ever lamented the fact that your regular nailer isn't accurate enough to hit the holes on metal connectors, the F21PL and these nails are the solution to your problem.
I installed dozens of joint hangers, post bases, and other metal connectors in short order when building my new deck. I recommend the nail gun and these nails to anyone who is using metal connectors.
