4Great Tool, but one small catch  Aug 18, 2008 By L. Mueller
I bought this nailer for two main reasons. #1 it was dirt cheap and with free shipping and no tax from Amazon it was a great deal. #2 was because of the good reviews on Amazon for this nailer. Let me agree with all the previous posts. For the price this little nailer is great. I used it to put up picture molding throughout my master bedroom and it worked like a charm. No jamming at all and the nails went it perfect. I am very happy with this tool

The one catch is the oil. Previous nailers that I have used you just plug in the air hose and go. Not so with this one. You must put 5 drops of oil into the air hose connection before each use. It comes with a little thing of oil, but like another review had mentioned, my cap had cracked and oil was all over everything. Not a huge deal, but that is why I only rated it 4 stars. I don't use this but once or twice a year so I'm fine having to add oil, but if you were to run out, or use this a lot it might be more of a pain. Overall I highly recommend for the average home user.

5Super Tool  Nov 28, 2006 By Ronald R. Riesbeck "Ron"
Campbell Hausfeld CHN10199AV 3/8-Inch to 1-1/4-Inch 18 Gauge Brad Nailer .

I have waited until now to review this tool . I have fired about 2,500 nails through it so far . I used all the ones that were supplied and then went to 1-3/16 nails. It never jammed once using 65 PSI and driving them into pine and plywood. I did use 3 to 4 drops of oil each day of use. I broke off the nozzle shield the first few days of use and customer service sent out another...no problem. It turned out to be an improved part. I bought it from Amazon for 35$. Based on that and so far a great product with super customer service...I give it 5 stars.

5Great value  Dec 24, 2009 By Chunme
As an avid DIY guy, I always considered a nailer as a pro tool, then I tried installing crown moulding without one. Excellent value. Feels well made and sturdy, this will last me forever. But then, my spring loaded brad pusher has lasted 40 years, it has now retired. You don't need many jobs to justify buying this tool.

5"Well Made Tool - - - Deserves a Place in Your Shop."  Jun 02, 2008 By R. E. WORSLEY
This is a medium duty air tool and should be treated that way. It appears to be well made and while I have not used it extensively, I have tested it with different size brads and material, without a problem. It is easy to load and use in most situations and is very efficient in it's use of air. Upon receipt of the unit, the small oil bottle cap was loose and had spilled most of the oil into the case. I emailed CH Customer service to get a part # so I could order some more oil. I was advised to just go out and buy some "air compressor" oil and use that. This was VERY BAD advice, as this is an oil that may contain detergents. The instruction manual states to NOT use anything but NON-Detergent oil as detergents will destroy the seals. Follow the instruction manual and you should get excellent results from this unit.
