Very good nailer for the price Aug 07, 2007
By B. Hair I purchased this nail gun recently and was pleasantly surprised when I received it. The condition of the nailer was really good, you could tell it wasn't brand new as some slight touch up had been done to the black areas of the paint otherwise, you would be hard pressed to distinguish the gun from a new one. After receiving it, I fired up my compressor and ran about 50 or so nails through it to make sure it worked well and to see how easy it was to adjust the drive depth. I had no problems getting the gun to countersink 2" nails in oak.
Just a heads up, the description lists additional tips and hex wrenches as being included however, I did not receive any and do not see these items listed by other vendors in their description of the item. I suspect this is a minor oversight by Amazon.
I prefer to buy new when possible however, when the price is significantly cheaper, there is a promo code, and the warranty is good, there is no reason not to consider purchasing this gun reconditioned.

Great tool for the money! May 13, 2009

The nailer came in the mail 2 days earlier than I expected. It had extra foot covers included in the box, which was nice. The nailer performed flawlessly with the Bostitch brand 2 1/2 inch nails. I did have a minor problem with 1 inch Hitachi brand 1 inch nails...When I held it up to nail into the wall, it misfired about every 5th nail. This was remedied when I aimed it downward towards the ground. I switched to the 1 inch Bostitch nails and didn't have this problem anymore. I suggest using the brand nails for this unit. I have yet to have a misfire with the Bostitch nails. The unit was in perfect condition out of the box. Only some minute indications that it had ever been used. I did have to use my own compressor adapter, as it did not come with one included. Not a problem because I had plenty for just such an occasion. I build a lot of antique reproduction style furniture, and this tool is a must. The 15 gauge nails are strong enough to hold, but thin enough to not split the wood. It leaves a small hole that is easily covered with putty, barely noticeable when finished. All in all a great product at a great price...Well under the price you pay for a substandard brand from the local tool store.

They Didn't Even Pretend To Recondition This Nailer Jul 08, 2010
By Nolocontendere They sent me a heavily used, dirty tool. The box had dirt from the worksite on it. The trigger is loaded with dirt. They did not even try to patch up any of the dings, scratches and scuffs. This looks like it came out of a pawnshop, but worse because it is dirty. I did not even try it to see if it worked, it looked so bad. They did not even pretend to send a factory reconditioned nailer. I am embarrased for this company. Based on the reviews, I suspect this is an anomoly, and that someone who is not greatful to be employed severely cut corners. Only a couple others have had simlar experiences--at least people who have taken the time to post a review. I am sending it back.
I ordered one new from the same company for about $25 more. I received it today and I am pleased. Now I have to waste my time and gas to take the crappy one to UPS because someone did not take pride in their work.
The lesson here is to buy new if you buy from this company. I previously bought a reconditioned compresser and brad nailer from a different company (CPO Bostitch) and it truely was factory conditoned and was beautiful.

Think twice before Buying Factory-Reconditioned Oct 08, 2009

Make sure you buy from a reseller that has a good return policy. I got the full refund without paying returned shipping fee.
I got the really old nailer that look like several year heavy used worn out, missing a box of 1000 sampled nails, no instruction manual, no air fit connector, and a broken case lock clip.
In my case, that is not worthy to save $50.00 compare to a new one. In additional, I have to delay my project in couple weeks.
Good 15 Gauge Finish Nailer Jun 24, 2011
By Paul B I purchased this with a Bostitch 6 gallon compressor and 18 gauge brad nailer to do some trim work around the house. Things to note are the gun did not come with a quick connect coupling and be sure to get the 25 degree angled nails. Most other brands use the 30+ degree nails. The gun works pretty good. Jams once in a while i.e on the last nail in the feeder. Easy to clear them. At 100 PSI I've had no trouble driving in 2 1/2 nails. A lot easier than hand nailing!
