Usually ships in 2-3 business days | | | | | | This compact nailer is easy to handle, the soft-grip handle feels good in use and is easy on the arm. Its shorter, straight-line 30-degree magazine gives you a better line of sight and awesome maneuverability compared with larger nailers, but it doesn't sacrifice power at 884 inch/pounds. Drive depth and exhaust are both easily adjusted, and the magazine is a dream to load. Great for fencing, framing, decking, trusses and subfloors. Senco knows how to make a nailer, and this is a prime example. | | | |

Fine Senco Clipped Head Nailer - Ad not misleading at all. Dec 16, 2003
By Greg
"Greg"
I have used this nailer for about 2 months. I bought this set for the nailer alone, but the included FP15 was a bonus that, quite frankly, I was unaware of until opeing the box. A previous review claims that the ad is deceptive, but I certainly do not agree. Familiarity with the product line, or a simple web search would have revealed that the included Finish Pro 15 Brad Nailer is, in fact, a brad nailer - as specified. In fact, it is a fine quality 5/8" to 1 1/4" brad nailer that is light, quiet, and well designed. I do woodworking and the FP15 is a fine addition to my tool arsenal. Now on to the meat of the review. The Senco FramePro 601 is a clipped head nailer which uses paper tape coelated nails - like the Pasload. Although clipped head nails are not as widely accepted as full head nails, I have found no problem with pullout, and in fact, the Senco nails with coated tips make them quite resistant to pullout. The FramePro 601 has performed flawlessly and has yet to jam, although the last nail or two in a strip sometimes needs slight re-alignment to fire properly - a simple task that takes seconds. It holds over two strips of nails, and has a lockout to prevent firing an empty gun. Quick to load, reliable and powerful. I would definately buy it again.

Senco sets the standard... Mar 06, 2006
By C. Cogburn ...for air-powered nailers. I've had my 601 for a couple years now and it has performed flawlessly. I am an amateur DIY-er so it does not see daily use, but when it IS used, it's used hard, and works perfectly.
I adjusted the exhaust (a nice feature) to blow to the right, so it would usually be facing away from me. But I think pointing straight forward is better, because occasionally I get blasted when nailing left-handed or across my body.
The only pesky thing is removing unused nails, but I think that's a technique thing; a buddy was using my nailgun and swapped out nailstrips in about five seconds. Obviously he knows something I don't.
I buy tools with the intention of having them forever, so I shop around for the BEST. And Senco delivers.
The 'brad nailer' versus 'finish nailer' thing is a non-issue. I've used the brad nailer for finishing work and it has performed just as well as its big brother. If you use pre-painted brads, and set the depth just right (super easy!), you won't even have to set and putty the heads; once they're in, you're done.

By Timothy L. Nesbit Haven't had this nailer long but so far no problems. I do really like the depth adjustment. It is easy to set and a very nice feature.
Rock Solid Nail Gun! Jun 15, 2011
By Allen I've owned this Senco nailer for over 3 years now and can attest to it's toughness. I've completed many framing projects with it including major renovations and additions. This gun has never jammed once on me....it just keeps going! Keep it oiled and it will probably last many many years for you. Accepts several types of clipped head nails including Senco, Grip-Rite, Porter Cable, and others. You won't be disappointed in this gun.
This gun is junk Jan 11, 2011
By J. French I have been in construction for over 20 years. I have had great luck with Senco nail gun until this one. I had a old SN1 wish I still had it ( it shot flawless for 15 years),wanted a new one. This gun has been rebuilt 2 times and still jams, doesn't want to shoot and leaking air. Senco has dropped the ball on this gun.Senco make great products but this gun is only good for a boat anchor.
