I'll stick to my Pancake. Jul 26, 2010 I just used one of these this weekend and when we first plugged it in I was shocked at how quite it was. We needed a compressor to shoot a few framing nails in to hold up support blocks for TigerClaw Deck clips. So really we only needed maybe 4 nails every few min. If you read the product sheet you'll know that this product really isn't recommended for framing. However for this very light application it worked fine. The compressor would kick on after 3 nails, but that was really all we needed. Still impressed at how quite this thing was I came on to Amazon to see how much one of these cost, and while the price isn't horrible it's almost exactly what I paid for my pancake combo kit. So I'm going to pass on this product because a pancake combo kit is a better all around value. Is this product quite... yes.. is it light and compact... pretty much, and it actually performed very well considering what I was using it for, but I can't compare to the value of most pancake compressors. They do pretty much it all and this one just isn't quite the value.I think a better price point a tool with this use is $50 to $75. I might buy it at that price point.
The little compress that could Jul 04, 2010 Put an air nozzle on this comp and watch the pressure gauge drop like a drag car burning up gas, about five little squirts with the air nozzle and the pressure is too low, motor comes back on. Super quiet though, you could sleep next to this thing, because they put too tiny a comp on it, takes too long to build pressure back up again. I like the air filter feature but other compressors on the market probably have the same thing. I bought this to blow my gun parts dry after cleaning them. If I new this comp was going to run so much I would have gotten the 2 gallon model. This one is only good for blowing dust off your computer or key board.
Reliable, light, portable, and efficient. Jul 03, 2010 This compressor was recommended by a friend who was a cabinet maker for an historical museum in Boise, Idaho. He came to NY to visit and help me install kitchen cabinets. The unit worked flawlessly. It easily accommodates various size nails. With his initial instruction, I have used it for years since--for framing, box making, canvas stretching, molding installation, etc. It's never failed. It is reliable, light, and portable. The seals are still tight after 7 years (make sure you relieve the pressure and drain it after every use). I have two attachments: a nailer and a stapler. I will probably get a blower.
Great little compressor Jun 23, 2010 This is a great little compressor for around the house. I use it mostly with a Porter-Cable 18g nail gun. The compressor is small, light wieght and quiet running. It has no trouble keeping up with one small nail gun. It kicks in more often with my 15g gun. I highly recommend it for home owners.

A nice little machine May 12, 2010 The senco pc1010 1-horsepower peak 1-gallon compressor is nice and light weight easy to move around, very quite & has plenty of power for my trim jobs. I am a finish carpenter and I am using a range of finish guns that shoot a 16 to 23 gauge nail, & it completes the job. I would not use it on any large trim jobs where I would be trimming a whole house. I would use it to trim out a room, kitchen or while building a fireplace mantle.
