5 Stars With One Caveat. Mar 25, 2012
By N. Kline Best price I've found on an air reel. Fastened it tonight to my garage's wall and wound a cord up. Worked 100% flawlessly. Grabbed the end and walked away with it. Cord unwound with zero issues. Wound back up with zero issues.
The metal is lightweight which is a pro and a con. It's a con because, well, it's cheap lightweight steel. It's a pro because it keeps the weight of the entire reel down (which is nice 'n' heavy despite the light steel) and allows the steel to give and flex if it is knocked into, etc.
My one caveat is that it didn't come with a lead-in hose...the normally very short hose going from the compressor to the L-bend of the reel. I'm not knocking a star off because I don't think *any* reels include one, but IDK. I was saddened to find it didn't have one and I had to drop an additional $10 on a separate one, but I imagine the manufacturer's response is, "Well, we have no idea how close folks will mount it to their compressor, be it 3' or 30'. If we don't include anything, we can keep prices down and let the user build their own setup." And so it goes...
