3spray gun  Aug 28, 2011 By richardb1952
Tried using gun right out of the box, and gun clogged. Took apart to clean and gun clogged again. Cleaned again and used with the filter removed, which seemed to do the trick.

5Great touchup gun  Aug 31, 2010 By Grandpa
I've been repainting and touching up cars, furniture and other items for about forty years. I needed a new touchup gun and after reading reviews, I decided to purchase this gun. I've used it now on quite a few occasions - including painting 50 gourds to support my wife's craft habit, and really like the gun. It works perfectly, the controls for air work well and the spray mist is well atomized and consistent. The gun is well built and does not use much air. I have used a small Porter Cable nail-gun compressor and that is more than sufficient. It works so well that I purchased a second one to use at my second house.

2012 -- Update. I was cleaning the gun at the kitchen sink (don't tell my wife!) and lost track of the plastic washer that sits behind the nozzle. I placed the parts on a paper towel to dry and moved on to other things. Later my wife brought this shredded piece of plastic to me and asked if I knew what it was. She could tell when I blanched that it was important. It had managed to work its way into the garbage disposal.

I tried to smooth out the nozzle washer, but when I tried it in the gun, air got past it and bubbled back into the fluid cup. The gun would spray, burp, spray, burp continuously. Pretty useless as is. I searched the web for replacement washers to no avail. I finally called Titan customer service, told them my tale of woe, and the gentleman on the other end of the line said, "Well, we don't sell that part by itself ... but I can grab one and send it to you. Would tomorrow be fast enough? The warehouse is closed now?"

What great customer service! Incidentally, later I found that Vaper has a rebuild kit available (item 19908) for less than $10 that contains this part, plus a new needle, spray nozzle, assorted plastic seals, 0-rings, and springs -- seventeen parts in all! I love this little touchup gun -- it replaced a Binks 117 that I loved, but I really wanted to go HVLP, so when that needed a rebuild I purchased the Vaper. Now I love it even more.

2Good for the price  Mar 09, 2012 By Gary L. Atkinson
Nice little gun for limited use. Not a daily user. This was my second of these. Thought I could cannibalize the first to fix the second. I now have plenty of parts, no working gun. Problem in the trigger mechanism. Cannot clean unless completely disassembled. Failure of a 2 cent rubber valve plunger deep in the gun.
