Love, Hate Jun 03, 2008
By Crackers In a past review for the Wagner Paint Crew. I gave it 5 stars and a rave review. So I thought that the roller would be just as good. It did speed up the painting process, but trying to control the hose was a horror story. The nylon tubing is so inflexible it started to hurt my wrist trying to control it. After about 10 minutes I thought I made a mistake. I wasn't very happy. Every-time you get to a inner corner or a molding you have to flip the roller so the roller frame doesnt scrape. This is were you have to wrestle with the hose. I know Wagner sells a swivel fitting for the hose. I will buy it, as soon as I find one.
On the other hand, it did apply the paint nicely. And there was no paint spatter or dips on the floor or me.
One other thing, I didn't use the paint crew for some time. I cleaned it as per instructions. And put it away for more than a year. So I figured It was ready to paint with. I loaded the hopper with paint and switched it on, nothing! I had to dump the paint and disassemble it. Not a big deal when it is clean. But it is a mess when it is loaded with paint. The hopper valve was stuck shut. A slight squeeze and it was free. My advice is to disassemble it for a quick inspection after storage. It would have saved me an hour and a lot of clean up.

Roller Jul 04, 2007
By J. Donovan I really like this roller. Once you get used to the pace of how much to "spray" into the roller at a time it's pretty easy. I do not like that you can't add a broom stick like you would a regular roller to paint ceilings or tall walls. You can BUY a "pole extension" from Wagner but that is more than the roller!

Needs a longer roller extension Aug 12, 2009
By A. Jones The roller itself works without a hitch. The lack of a longer extension for ceilings, and taller walls is a drag. After looking for a longer tube extension, found that the price for it was considerably more than the roller itself. Not!

One word; ERGONOMICS Mar 04, 2010
By G. Metty OK, It was fast, and it rolled evenly, but a couple of problems surfaced. You had to really feather the trigger to prevent splatter, and if you forgot, you had to stop for cleanup, especially on the ceiling. I had to go back to a conventional roller. I could load paint and roll a room in about 20 minutes, but trying to actually use it comfortably just wasn't happening. I am in pretty good shape and it wore me out. Also, don't buy the roller cleaner with this product. it doesn't work with the power roller, but does work great with a conventional roller

Difficult to use Jun 03, 2008

I bought this item to aid me in painting my house on the outside. It hooks on to the sprayer by its long arm and trying to paint somthing on a ladder with this added roller requires very long arms and a person who has three hands, two to work the device and one to hang on to the ladder. Flat surface painting might be alright but in my case it was no good.
